How to sell your first AI tool on Fabrica
Fabrica · 10 June 2026 · 4 min read
If you've built something with AI that saves you time, someone else needs it too. That's the whole premise. It's not complicated.
Fabrica is where you list it. Buyers find it, pay once, download it, use it. You get 80% of every sale. No subscriptions, no support queue, no investors to answer to. Just a file and a price.
Here's how to get your first listing live.
Decide what to sell
The best first listing is something you already use. Not something you built to sell, something you built for yourself that actually works.
Good starting points: a SKILL.md file you use with Claude daily, a .cursorrules file tuned for your stack, a system prompt that consistently gets you good output, a Zapier automation you set up for your own business, a ChatGPT configuration you've refined over several months of actual use.
If it saves you 30 minutes a week, it'll save someone else 30 minutes a week. People pay for that.
Package it properly
Buyers need to know exactly what they're getting and how to use it. Before you list, make sure the file is clean and commented. Write a description that explains what it does and what problem it solves. Note what's required, does the buyer need Claude Pro, a specific API key, a paid Zapier plan. Make that clear upfront or you'll hear about it later.
Take a screenshot of the output if you can. Show what it actually produces. Buyers are more confident when they can see the thing working.
Set your price
Don't underprice. A tool that saves someone an hour a week is worth at least £10 to a professional. Start at £9 minimum. You can always change it.
Most tools sell for £9 to £49. Prompt packs and bundled tools go higher. Nobody is going to buy your £2 system prompt and think "great value." They're going to think it's not very good.
Submit for review
Every listing goes through a review before going live, usually within 24 hours. We check that it does what it says, contains no malware, and is your original work. Straightforward if you built it yourself.
Once approved, it's live and searchable immediately.
Share it
Your listing URL is yours. Put it in your bio, share it on X, post about it on TikTok, drop it in communities where people use the same tools. The sellers who do well on Fabrica are the ones who talk about what they've built. You don't need a big audience. You need one good post that reaches the right people.
Fabrica also has a referral system. Every sale you drive through your own link earns you extra. Worth knowing.
